Turkey and Kenya sign trade agreement

Trade and cooperation with Turkey are set to take off, after ministers signed a wide-ranging deal on investment, tourism, agriculture, science and labour cooperation, at the Turkish ambassador’s residence on Gigiri Road.

A delegation of Turkish officials had come to Nairobi for the first-ever Kenya-Turkey joint trade commission.

Tourism minister, Najib Balala, said that besides attracting Turkish investment dollars, Kenya hopes to learn from Turkey’s booming tourism industry.

The historic Mediterranean country welcomes 27 million visitors per year.
